Use NPS for a 0 to 10 recommendation score.
Use it for
- Customer loyalty, product sentiment, onboarding feedback, event follow-up, and support satisfaction.
- Tracking promoters, passives, and detractors over time.
- Summary reporting where the NPS score matters more than individual ratings.
Settings to check
- Prompt wording that identifies what the respondent is recommending.
- Required state.
- Follow-up logic for low, neutral, or high scores.
- Optional Long text after the score to collect the reason.
Workflow notes
NPS is most useful when asked consistently. Avoid changing the wording often if you compare results over time. Use logic to ask detractors for issue details and promoters for testimonials or referrals, often with a Long text follow-up.
